  5. FishHack brings the fun an excitement of the "Big Mouth Billy Bass" (as seen on T.V.)
  6. to the Macintosh.  It is a part hardware, part software hack.  You need to purchase
  7. the follow hardware:

  9. One "Big Mouth Billy Bass" from your local store or:

  12. Radio Shack:
  13. 42-2387A    6-ft Shielded Audio Cable
  14. 278-1157B     24" Jumper Leads with mini alligator clips in 4 assorted colors
  15. 23-881        C size alkaline Enercall batteries (8)

  18. WARNING:  This procedure could damage or void the warranty of your machine.  I am not a 
  19. hardware engineer, I only play one on T.V.  If you break something it's your fault, not
  20. mine.

  23. The operation:
  24. Open the back of the fish's case, find the light sensor near the bottom of the
  25. case with the green wires attached to it.  Extract the light sensor with pliers.
  26. Tape over the top of the tube so light can't get in.  Attack alligator clips to
  27. the sensor's leads and run them out the bottom of the case where there are gaps.
  28. Close the case leaving the light sensor inside.

  30. Plug the audio cable into the audio out on your machine, and attach the other ends
  31. of the alligator clips to the audio cable.  One to the tip and one to the ring farthest
  32. from.

  35. Now when your machine beeps the bass will sing!
